Quick payment of restaurant bill
If you eat out sometime, the next scenario might be familiar to you. You are
attending a dinner party with your friends, and have just enjoyed a good meal
in a restaurant. You get ready to pay the bill and move on. You call for the
waiter and ask for the check. Do you then split the bill equally or pay
individual bills, cash or charge? At this time it becomes a bit chaotic trying
to decide how to pay. If the restaurant in addition is filled with other guests
the waiter must attend, payment might take a long time.
A new method of payment is now available. Together mobileAxept™ and SMS
Development have developed a new, better, faster and safer way of paying the
bill. SMS Development delivers the point of sale (RMS4001) system for the
restaurants, while mobileAxept™ have developed a multi channel payment solution
(IMS).
You can pay using your cell phone.
How does this work?
- The waiter gives you a bill with a reference- and phone number.
-
The customer calls the phone number on the bill, follows the instructions and
enters the reference number for this bill. The customer then enters the amount
of their choice, plus a tip to the waiter.
-
The point of sale system in the restaurant is updated with the amount paid by
the customer and subtracts it from the total amount of the bill. The customer
receives a text message receipt for their transaction.
-
The other customers can either pay with their cell phone, or any other
conventional payment. The point of sale system in the restaurant is constantly
updated with all transactions regarding this bill.
-
This system frees up the waiters time spent on your party, to serve other
customers, while you pay in a safe, quick and simple way.
